The last action exposes the shape 🧱

Villa Dálmine beat Excursionistas 1-0 in the last play of the match. The goal came from a defensive error, not a moment of magic -1-6.

Excursionistas tried to play out from the back in the 49th minute of the second half. The passing lane to the midfielder was closed. The safe option was the long ball. They chose the short pass anyway -16.

Maximiliano Resquín read it, won the ball, and Diego Martínez arrived from left-back to score -1-16. When a centre-back abandons his position late in a draw, someone must cover. Nobody did.

The last minute is not about luck. It shows who kept their shape when tired.

Question: When your team is drawing in the 90th minute, do you want the centre-back carrying the ball or holding the line?
