The space behind the full-back

Watch the first few minutes without following the ball. Look at where the full-back stands when his team has possession. If he is high and wide and the winger is also high, the space behind him is empty.

That space is where the opposition will try to attack. It is not a prediction. It is a structural fact. If the central midfielder does not drop to cover, that side becomes a passing lane for the opponent. You can see it before the ball moves there.

The same applies to betting. You do not need to predict every outcome. You need to see whether the price reflects the structural risk. If the full-back is high and no one covers, the clean sheet odds are too short.
