The space between the lines

Watch the distance between a team's defence and midfield when they don't have the ball. If that gap grows beyond fifteen metres, the opposition will find it. Every time.

A centre-back stepping out to press without the full-back tucking in creates the same problem. One pass into that space and the whole shape breaks. You see it in the first ten minutes if you look for it.

The market price rarely reflects these structural gaps early enough. That is where the value sits.

Keep the observation separate from the bet. Watch the shape first. Decide later.

Question: What do you check first when you watch a team without the ball?
